This aggregation of material centered on issues of race/ethnicity/nationality, postcolonialism, gender, queer theory, feminism, and intersectionality is an attempt to bring together useful resources for integration into art and design history and theory curriculum. It is by no means comprehensive and some resources may be of varying levels of usefulness. This is an attempt to fill in gaps of history, theory, and examples of artists/designers and artworks/designs. Hopefully this can lead to new narrative structures and more representative histories. This is a tricky task given the paucity of writing and documentation concerning BIPOC and LGBTQIA+, especially the further we go back in time. Any help or resources you can offer are welcome.
