Art in ActionTBD2:50-3:30 CollierArt in Action Club is welcome to anyone interested in participating in several art projects around the school and local community over the course of the year. Past projects have included painting the flower mural on the lunch room wall, and creating a cut out photo bomb board for the league of women voters booth at the September Longmont art walk. Future projects may include participating in more art walks, and painting air conditioning units around the school. All levels welcome, come check it out!

Aviation ClubTBD2:50-3:30BensonOur club is called the NHS Aviation Club and we explore all different parts of aviation. We like to fly drones, model, and discuss all things aviation. We also help teach members how to fly. We have met with Air Force pilots, Navy Officers, and we are planning to do much more. We have official polos to look professional. If your at all interested in aviation, Niwot High School’s Aviation Club presents you with a way to meet people with similar passions, visit really cool aviation themed places (Like airports, hangars, museums, and factories), and learn a ton about flying. B.A.S.I.C.TBDB.A.S.I.C stands for Brothers and Sisters in Christ and the club is similar to an after school youth group. We play games, eat snacks, and talk about our faith. The most important part of this club however is finding people to make friendships and a community with.

Best Buddies ClubEvery other Tuesday starting 9/13:00-4:00WebexHolleMadison Schwartz and Gaby ArdilaOur club is Best Buddies. We are a chapter of an international organization that creates one-on-one friendships between those with and without disabilities. We make crafts, play games, bake treats, and venture out into the community! Our instagram is @bestbuddiesniwot. To be a member of Best Buddies, you must fill out an application at the beginning of the year.

Chemistry Olympiad ClubTBD2:50-3:30At Chemistry Olympiad Club, we collaboratively solve chemistry problems and prepare for the Chemistry Olympiad exam. Participants do not have to take the exam.

Chess ClubTBD3:00-4:00SchlagelAs the name suggests, at Chess Club we play chess. Along with classical chess the chess club also plays chess variants, such as bughouse, hand and mind, and other variants. The chess club plays at a more casual and relaxed level.

We promote personal growth and leadership development focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner, and community member. Students can choose to be involved at the local level by doing community and school service projects or can complete a STAR project and compete at the state level.

Fellowship of Christian AthletesTBD6:20-6:45 amStrahFCA is a group of (mostly) Christian athletes. We have breakfast together, and then we will either have a lesson from one of our student leaders, have student-lead worship, or just get into some shenanigans. We know it’s early in the morning, but it is definitely worth it! We are on Instagram @niowtfca.

We will incorporate educational material as well as physical activities that encourage people to spend more time being active rather than being sedentary. Our ultimate goal is that we are able to persuade students to find ways to improve their own physical and mental health.

National Science Bowl ClubTBDRiceAt National Science Bowl Club, we have weekly practices in preparation for the regional science bowl competition. Teams are assigned each practice and practice involves scrimmaging against each other in competition format.

We also plan to involve the club with a few community outreach programs, but haven’t had a formal meeting yet, so we’ll discuss that then. Mostly just community involvement with children to evoke their love of theatre.

It is a great way to make new friends and is a very honorable group to be a part of. We meet every other Wednesday after school in the choir room until 3:30PM. World Wide Women ClubTBD2:50-3:30BensonWorld Wide Women is a club that focuses on empowering women from all different ethnic and economic backgrounds in the Niwot community. The club strives to inspire girls to take on more leadership positions and learn what it means to be a strong woman. In addition, we partner with organizations around the world to better the lives of women internationally. The club is a safe space especially catered toward girls (and boys) that are passionate about the subject.

Youth Chapter of Boulder County League of Women VotersTBD2:50-3:30CollierThe Youth Chapter of Boulder County League of Women Voters discusses different issues in the community and the government (local elected officials) and finds ways to learn more about them and host events to inform the youth about them. We also get people of the youth to register or preregister to vote. Men are encouraged to join and we always have food.
