Frequently asked questions
18
How do Table Fees work? You can pay in a few ways:
- Each gamer pays a $10 wargames club fee to play at the store of which ALL becomes in-store credit.
- Not local? A once off flat-fee of $5 per player to use our tables.
- Under 16yo? Table fee is $5 of which will ALL becomes in-store credit.

*in-store credit does not expire
19
20
Why charge table fees? We charge fees to help us pay for the costs of running the venue such as rent, staffing, utilities etc. It also helps us maintain our tables and in particular our terrain in good condition. Finally it allows us to buy the newest wargames items and lines for retail. Store credit accumulated in this way will not expire, and can be used on anything in-store.
21
Can I just rock on up on the day?Yes, however bookings will override walk-ins, so if you're keen to play, booking is a good idea to avoid disapointment.
22
Can I reserve a table without having an opponent? No, we'd prefer this not be the case as it increases the chance of a no-show a lot.
23
Can I book further than 2 weeks away? No, we allow bookings a max of 2 weeks out as we found players would forget bookings if it were further. We do however reserve tables outside of this time for events.

If you're keen to run a public or private event, speak to the HM team.
24
I belong to a club, but all the club tables are in use on the night I want to play. Can I book a non-club table?Yes. If it's not yet booked, go for it! We set aside some tables for clubs to recognise their contribution to Hobby Master and to ensure they can play their games. But numbers
can swell or drop depending on the day or time of year, so we have no problem with booking more.
25
I would like to join a club, how can I do this? Each club is different, so we recommend visiting on the day that clubs meet. The staff at Hobby Master will point out champions of the club you can speak to.
26
I would like to learn to play a game, how can I do this?Just like joining a club, speaking to the players is always the way to go. Pop on in on a club meet day and the staff at Hobby Master will introduce you.
