Instructions for Completing the Criteria Documentation for Science Instructional Materials
All publishers must complete the Science Criteria Documentation as part of the submission process. This tool is designed to support reviewers in identifying where to start when looking at alignment to the evaluation criteria. Below is the organization of the document and instructions for the tool.

Organization
The Review Criteria Template tab outlines the criteria and indicators that will be used to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the submitted materials. Space is provided for brief descriptions and examples for each indicator.




















Instructions
Use the following steps to complete the Science Criteria Documentation:

1. Review the criteria and indicators outlined in the Review Criteria Template tab.
2. Input the Product Description information for your material.
3. For each indicator, input Descriptions and Examples of how your materials relate to each criterion and indicator in the appropriate columns. Note that these are meant to be preliminary and brief descriptions of how materials generally represent the indicators. Please also provide 1-2 examples of how the indicators are represented in the materials. Leave any cells blank or write "Not applicable" for indicators that are not represented in your materials.
