Introduction

Hello! The purpose of this spreadsheet is to provide an American Christian church name generator. The components of each name originate from real church names. I created this spreadsheet to help myself with a short story (unpublished and terrible) I was writing a few years ago, and I rediscovered it in one of my folders recently. While it was made to help with creative writing, it can be used for startup and rebranding churches trying to pick a name, and also (probably) for plenty of other things I haven’t even thought of.

How To Use

To generate new names, simply refresh the Church Names sheet.

Intention Of Layout

-If there is a blank cell between two words, it’s meant to indicate a space.

-If two cells with words are side-by-side, they’re meant to be combined into one.
Examples: Hoperenewed, Livingword, Narrowpath, Oakstreet

Issues

-First and foremost, be aware that the majority of the names this generator produces are going to be nonsensical. Feel free to use partial names if that helps you.

-Some of the generated names will be the same as church names that really do exist, so make sure you do your research before you commit to anything.

-This generator is not exhaustive in any way.

-None of the names include denomination names, nor do they include any town or city names. Add those in as you deem necessary. There ARE, however, some road-related words that may come up.

-There’s nothing to stop duplicate words from generating in the same name
