11
12
There is a formula to keep track of space used and mod count.
13
14
While crashing is a normal occurance with Skyrim, the LLO is designed to help mitigate those crashes.
15
16
We do this by ordering mods in groups for quality control and in the way the game engine will read the mods.
17
18
Mod Placement is the most important aspect of your Load Order!
19
20
The first step is to understand that Conflict is not the same as Crashing. You can have a "conflict" by which it is resolved depending on where a mod is placed and it will cause no crashing. The lowest mod wins the conflict in the load order.
21
22
Example: Mod A moves a bush in Dawnstar and mod B also moves that bush. Whichever mod is lower will have the edit to the bush loaded into your game. That is a conflict resolution.
23
24
Your placement of mods matters. By codifying what's being done behind the scenes, you are armed with more knowledge at your fingertips for placing your mods.
25
26
Enjoying a Mod? Please be sure to show your appreciation by rating it, that way the Mod Author will know you enjoyed it.
27
28
Always, Always, ALWAYS be RESPECTFUL to Mod Authors when contacting them or commenting on their Mods. Empathize instead of Criticize and you will likely get better results!

How to use this Sheet:
31
32
There are several tabs located at the bottom of this document for easy navigation. You can make copies of tabs for yourself when necessary.
33
34
The Technical Tab is a cheat sheet of information for how to download the Google Sheet to your phone, tablet or computer.
35
36
The Section Definition is literally that: defintions of how to place your mods in the right section.
37
38
There is a Logical Load Order Template and several blank templates along with filled out templates to get you started.

Mod Ordering Philosphy
43
44
If using Creation Club Mods, please understand that they may conflict with other Mods. Include the ones that edit locations. Note: do not include AE files as we know they are included.
45
46
Always thoroughly read Mod descriptions to understand what the Mod does and place it accordingly.
47
48
If a Mod Author specifies a Section or a specific placement for a Mod, follow it as much as possible. Remember "lowest" means lower in the section, not at the bottom of your LO. Take note of any incompatibilities and patches.
49
50
If multiple Mods require a patch to work together, place the Mods in order of what the patch states; patches will not work if mods are out of order
51
52
Remember that the Mod Sections are only a guideline. Mods may move to different Sections in order preserve the changes from other Mods.
53
54
There are a lot of Mods out there and it is easy to want them all. Instead, think critically about what Mods are going to enhance the gaming experience and what would be purely fluff Mods.
55
56
We suggest creating Themed LOs with meaningful playthroughs (such as Mage, Ranger, Druid, etc…). Have an experience and then have another on a new save with a new LO.
57
58
It is not recommended to add, disable, or delete Mods mid-playthrough as it can corrupt saves. The exceptions to this are Texture and Mesh Mods, but always use caution.
59
60
Above all: HAVE FUN. If you're stressed, come back with fresh eyes. And don't forget Discord so we can help!
