Q: How will the band directors send assignments and contact students?

A: Each student will be organized by band with Google Classroom using the students' stu.wisd.org email.

Assignments and Expectations

Q: What is expected of the WHS band students during the online learning?

A: Recorded passoffs comprised of UIL chunks, fundamental exerices, and basic theory assignments.

A: Students will also be expected to participate in online video sessions organized by section at various times during week.

Q: How many assignments per week will the band students have to complete?

A: 1-2 recorded assignments, at least 1 online sectional via Zoom, and possibly 1-2 online band sectionals via Zoom.

Q: How will the students send and/or post their assignments?

A: Via their Google Classroom account. Directors will also post assignments in a Google doc that students can access.

A: The directors will create meetings and send out invitations. Students will add app from the invitation.

Q: What if I do not have the equipment necessary to do online learning?

A: Contact your director who will work with the district who will assist in making the appropriate technology available.

Scheduling

Q: How will sectional and band sessions be scheduled?

A: Directors will send a google survey/form to allow students to choose time that best fits their schedules.

Q: What do I do if I left my instrument and music at the band hall?
