Father Bill's and MainSpring Veterans Services helps veterans in Southern Massachusetts by providing: food and nutrition, mental health resources, job employment resources, emergency shelter, assistance in housing court to individuals with disabilities (physical or mental health) and families who are at risk of being evicted from their current housing.

The NECHV provides a number of resources:
Housing: emergency housing, transitional housing, female transitional housing, permanent housing on-site, help finding affordable housing in the community.
Employment: assistance in job searches, resume writing, job orientation, training and retention, work responsibilities and job issues.
Human services: meals, community of veterans, healthcare
Education: personal financial planning, individualized budget and credit review, employment readiness, resume creation, money management and computer fundamentals.

As of 03/31/2021: Any Veteran seeking services, please call 617-371-1800 anytime. NECHV staff will coordinate Veteran intake into our programs. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are altering our intake procedure to further ensure the wellbeing of the residents and staff. NECHV cannot accept Veterans that use medical equipment such as: Oxygen, Nebulizer or a CPAP machine. Based on CDC and/or State guidelines, additional safety measures may be required. The NECHV requires everyone to wear a mask inside of the building at all times.
PROCEDURES
1) Outside Referrals: Individuals referred by other institutions (e.g. VA), must first consult with Christine Tassia, Director, Veteran 360 Behavioral Health or her designee. She can be reached at christine.tassia@nechv.org or by phone at O: (617) 371-1708 C: (781) 400-6798.
Providers can also complete this referral form electronically: "Provider Referral Form"
A NECHV staff person will call you back within one business day to discuss the referral. Please note, completion of the referral form, does not guarantee admissions.
Prior to intake, the exiting provider must provide proof of a “negative” COVID-19 test within the past 48 hours. Upon arrival, the client must be screened and cleared for entry by on-site clinical staff (Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program).
2) Walk-Ins: Prior to entry into the building intake, the client must provide proof of a “negative” COVID-19 test within the past 48 hours. The test results will be confirmed, and the client will be screened and cleared for entry by on-site clinical staff (Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program). Please note, we can only accommodate a limited number of walk-ins per day. 3) Medical Monitoring: Clients approved for entry are required to meet daily with Clinic staff for health monitoring for the first five (5) business days upon entry. We have implemented internal public health and disease prevention protocols, and have incorporated aggressive administrative measures, including; eliminating visitors, restricting all but essential building access, reduced Staffing, social distancing and regular and frequent professional cleaning and sanitization to combat the potential introduction or transmission of COVID-19.

Soldier On provides housing, mental health services, case management, treatment programs (including Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous), education on computer technology and current events. The Soldier On employment program includes financial awareness classes, specialized services for incarcerated veterans, financial assistance for training and education, resume building, interview preparation and job fairs. Also provides veterans with transportation to and from appointments and services that are not offered where they live.
