We have a good amount of meat planned and will also have many lovely greens for salads and artisan bread. The below suggested potluck dish idea categories are meant to complement the purchased Ciderfest food.

For all potluck dishes it would be helpful if they were big enough to feed 15, 20, up to 30 people as part of a meal. A large pot luck dish is equivalent to 15 to 20 servings.

Quantity guidelines and some suggestions for good dishes

Cold Grain or Pasta salads, i.e. Tabuli, Couscous, Pesto etc. (3+ quarts, up to 6 max)

Quiche or other similar dishes that can be served cold (2+)

Big pots of Soups or Stews - please bring a pot to reheat it in, even if you are not transporting it in one (1+ gallons up to 2 max)

All kinds of desserts that don’t need refrigeration (a few batches of cookies, brownies, or equivalent)

We will ask you to label your dish when you arrive to specify if it is vegetarian, vegan or to indicate if it has dietary elements that some people will be trying to avoid. Make sure you know all that has gone into your dish. For example - most soy sauce has gluten in it, many kinds of margarine have diary in them - both will need to be noted. More instructions will be provided when you arrive. Thanks, and we hope you can take part in the feast.

If you have a cooler you are bringing food in we could use it at the Ciderfest kitchen area to keep your dish cool as fridge space is limited.
