9/25/2008 21:29:19Natalie Morin11natalie_morin@castilleja.orgI am a Casti student who is clued in to music, politics, and other interests of today. I would love to have the opportunity to talk to the Casti community via this project and i am experienced in public speaking. I believe that my enthusiasm and genuine interest in what goes on in the Castilleja community would be a great contribution to this project. -We could include contests for listeners
- updates on important events happening at or out of school.
-we should include a good amount of music
-we could have mini-debates where people could talk openely about issues about/outside of school

9/25/2008 22:05:01Malaika RamachandranFreshmanmalaika_ramachandran@castilleja.orgI think the project sounds awesome, and I've always wanted to have a talk show. My best friend, Katie Kirsch and I were talking about hosting a talkshow, because she is really interested in film and I like to be on camera. Music, castinews, interesting things going on in the world, GUEST SPEAKERS, spirit weeks, book and movie reviews, upcoming concerts or cool people, and much more.

9/25/2008 22:06:02Natalie Shell10th Gradenatalie_shell@castilleja.orgI would like to participate in the Gator Radio Project because I believe it would be a good way to voice student opinions, it would improve my public speaking skills and open up a new world of media and technology to a multitude of students.Fun quizzes or trivia, music, caller requests, forums/chat sites, homework hints, Q&A with faculty and students, and fun "school relate" mock ads.

9/25/2008 22:11:04Annie (Anna) Cardinal10annie@cardinalfamily.comI think it would be very fun to help out with a regular broadcast. I love technology, and would be interested on being a part of the production team, especially involving the website. It would be a great educational and fun experience.-Find of the week (Something, I have no idea what)
-A musical intro/outtro/transition theme
-Regular hosts, or rotating regular hosts
-Challenges for the hosts
-A spotlight on stuff that students have been doing, specific students or just general groups, and relating interviews

9/26/2008 0:34:32Kaitlin Carano12kaitlin_carano@castilleja.orgI have recently developed a desire to work on a radio show. I had assumed I would have to wait until college next year to do so, but now that this is happening at Casti, I would love to get some experience. I love music and always listen to the radio.Music, Guest Interviews, Sports Report, Arts Report, News of great importance in the world.

9/26/2008 8:36:02Sam10samantha.cecil@castilleja.orgIt seems like a creative idea and I would love to participate in it, especially on the musical part. I'll help in any way that you guys would like!I like the idea of broadcasting free music from Myspace, and as an avid participant/fan in the Myspace Music scene, I would be willing to help with that. Also, if people are interseted, it would be possible for me to get interviews with band members which may raise awareness to their bands, or would just be interesting for other kids to listen to, and hear about a band member's opinions on certain issues. Above all, I've always just wanted to work on a radio show, becuase I've always just been interested in how they work! NOTE: I have Skype on my computer at my Dad's house, but I don't have a fully functional computer that would available to download Skype on at my Mom's house. Is that a dealbreaker?

9/26/2008 10:31:28Zoe Paknad9thzoe_paknad@castilleja.orgI think it would be an interesting oppurtunity to do something both fun and productive, and it sounds like it would be a good idea for the school too.It sounds like it has potential to be really great, I'd like to learn more about it, but I think it would be extremely cool.

9/26/2008 22:12:48Virginia Phelps10virginia_phelps@castilleja.orgI am interested in how radio production works, and I've never heard of something like this before (it sounds awesome).PS, I'm sorry if I sent this form multiple times; my typing skills leave something to be desired. ^-,-^

9/27/2008 0:32:07Tobi Amos10tobi_amos@castilleja.orgLast year a friend of mine (Ana Vuko) and I had an idea of doing a sports "radio" for castilleja that we could broadcast on the website. Unfortunately, even though it got approved by Jez, this idea never got started and this is a great way for us to pick it up.Well, the sports radio section, and also maybe instead of doing "daily bulletin" and wasting paper, we can announce the daily bulletin over the radio at exactly 8 am (or 9 on Wednesdays)

10/1/2008 11:52:27Amanda Dillon11amanda_dillon@castilleja.orgI am addicted to the radio. Really, I listen to stations like NPR to get my daily "perspective" in the mornings, and then something like 105.3 every other time. I'd love to be part of a broadcast/production team for the Radio Project; it sounds like a wholly unique idea (something that we've never done before), and I think it'd be a pretty awesome opportunity to be a part of something like that.Well, there are a lot of really interesting things that NPR does in the mornings to keep younger listeners, such as myself, interested. They do things like have a random hilarious news fact of the past week (a little bit like the Darwin Awards, only less morbid), have the daily 'perspective' series (which I find really interesting), and have intermittent musical breaks.

We could incorporate things like this into Casti Radio pretty easily. We could also set up an email account where people could send song suggestions if we were to play music or anything else that they'd like us to mention on air.

10/1/2008 12:15:12Stephanie Leung12stephanie_leung@castilleja.orgI am very interested in communications and I am excited that Castilleja is FINALLY having a radio project. This project will help unify the Castilleja community through the use of technology. Since I am also ASB secretary treasurer, the Gator Radio Project will help me communicate with the upper school via the internet. I think we should host forums where people can voice their opinions concerning the school, media, political issues and etc. I think we should also conduct interviews where we interview celebrities (haha just kidding)! We can also use this broadcast to present news or events at Castilleja. I am excited to listen to the thoughts and opinions of fellow student through this radio project.
