Greg1.xp3Not the world's best code, but includes tests. Reward him with a prompt acceptance. Steven: He's obviously a newbie Python coder, so someone else will need to look it over and clean it up.

Steven1.xp3Agree w/Greg. Should someone else integrate it, or have him check in directly?

Gary1.0.xp2cournapeContinue letting David work it at his own pace, but post 1.0.
23
GregThe comments suggest that David knows what the problem is, but there doesn't seem to be a resolution suggested. wontfix? invalid? something in 1.x?

Steven1.0.xp2cournapeI've been having a hard time following the ML thread about this. I can't tell if it's a regression or not. If so, 1.0.x p2, otherwise it's okay to push it back

GregWhen do you want to work this, Steven? Should we consider it a part of the toolchain rework? (I suspect it would be better if it were separate.)

Steven1.xp3stevenknightShould probably be at least (re-)visited around this time frame.

Brandon1.xp4The same problem can occur with the Install / InstallAs command copying files from a read only source control like Perforce

Steven1.xp3???:-) 1.x p3 is turning into my more-or-less default classification for things that definitely need addressing but aren't urgent--like this one.

Steven1.0.xp2stevenknightThis one sucks. You can use a directory just fine as a source, but then when it's attached to an Alias you get this memory-gobbling get_contents() behavior. Agree w/Greg's issue coment re: use of MD5 checksums.
