The Cap & Trade Game Score Card
2
The objective: Limit your consumptive practices by trying to stay under the point limit, or 'cap'. The cap is 21 points per week (amended from the first week, cause 56 was too easy!)

HOW TO PLAY: Below the tally chart is a list of activities that have a good or bad impact on the environment. Activities are categorized under FOOD, AIR, WATER, and WASTE. Activities that accumulate points are bad; activities that reduce your points are good. Keep track of these activities in your daily life, and enter your total daily point count in the appropriate column. The spreadsheet will automatically tally your weekly total. THE TRADE: At the end of each week, players earn 'credits' for each point they manage to stay under the cap. For instance, a player that ends with 38 points has earned 4 credits. Players who have gone over the cap have the opportunity to trade credits with players who have managed to stay under the cap. To do this, the player who wishes to get credits from another player must do an activity from the Trade List (below the Point List), as chosen by the other player. For instance: Andy ends his week with 47 points (5 over the cap). Beth ends her week with 37 (5 under the cap, earning her 5 credits). In order for Andy to get Beth's credits, Beth makes Andy live without electricity for a day. All trade activities must be documented and posted to the Living Chapters blog. Credit value of the trade activities suggested, and flexible at players discretion.
