Mayday Movement USA will establish a long-term presence on the National Mall in Washington, DC, in sight of the US Capitol, beginning on May 1st, 2025. We will remain there until Donald. J Trump is impeached and removed from office. This is a peaceful, non-violent, National Park permitted 24/7 sit-in (NO OVERNIGHT CAMPING).

As a counter-protest of the N. Korea style military parade on June 14th in DC we will be posting NO KINGS IN AMERICA and RESIST on the overpass at the Muddy Branch overpass. Informative speakers who will share stories about why democracy matters and the dangers of this present moment. We'll share strategies and tactics we can use to stand up for democracy. The flag belongs to all of us, and democracy works when we all participate. This isn't about partisan politics—it's about the fundamental American principle that no one is above the law. Real power doesn't come from Washington spectacles—it rises up from communities like ours, from people like you who refuse to stay silent when democracy is under threat.

Join us for a roadside rally for the No Kings day, with the Declaration of Independence as our theme! The Declaration lays out clear examples of how the king was being tyrannical, and why he was therefore not fit to govern the people in America. As in other recent protests, we will line the sidewalks to show drivers & other passersby our commitment to democracy. Yet this event will have a bit of a twist: in terms of signs, you're encouraged (though not required) to reference sections of the Declaration of Independence--or current parallels. Some organizers (neighbors in Chevy Chase) will be creating larger banners with text, and we welcome other versions of those, too-- multiple versions can increase the visibility of each section of text. But these are only suggestions; your sign doesn't have to reference the Declaration, and you can come without a sign also.
