1. Locate the VPAT for the product

2. Find the 'Conformance Level' column in both the 'Table 1: Level A Success Criteria' and the 'Table 2: Level AA Success Criteria'

3. Tally up all the criteria that are marked 'Partially Supports' 'Supports with Exceptions' or 'Does Not Support'

4. Enter the score in the spreadsheet together with the product name, version and the URL of the VPAT

5. If the vendor does not have a VPAT or they require you to sign a non-disclosure agreement, leave WCAG Errors blank. 5 points will be added to the highest number of known errors from other products, as a penalty

How do I assess accuracy of conformance documentation?

Verify that conformance documentation contains all necessary information listed below before contacting the Accessibility Team to evaluate VPAT.

1. Is the date and version on the conformance document relevant to the version of the product being acquired?

2. Does the document contain status for each requirement with explanation?

3. Are known issues documented?

4. Does the document list the accessibility testing methodology and tools used?
