QMUL-Cornell Seed Fund - Research Interest Sign-up Form@dropdown
2
• This list aims to help interested prospective applicants from QMUL and Cornell to identify colleagues with similar research interests; it aims to facilitate potential collaborations for joint seed grant applications.
• Please note that this is not a comprehensive list of possible partners. If you do not see a potential colleague's name on this list, it does not mean they are not eligible; it simply means they have not added their name to the list. This should not prevent you from reaching out to these colleagues directly.
• Please add your name to the list below if you are interested in finding potential partners and check back often for updates and to identify potential collaborators.
• If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at Cornell -- Sebnem Ozkan (globalhubs@cornell.edu); at QMUL -- Rachel Miles r.e.miles@qmul.ac.uk).

I explore human microbiomes in pregnancy and early life. I am particularly interested in the infant gut microbiome and how it affects maturation of the intestinal barrier in the context of child undernutrition and diarrhea. I work with large clinical cohorts in Zimbabwe and Zambia and am developing organoid models to study host-microbe interactions at the gut barrier.
