I visit the elementary schools that feed into our middle school. Sometimes I take a full ensemble to perform and speak, sometimes I take a small group to demonstrate instruments, and sometimes I go on my own to demonstrate instruments and speak to the 5th graders. Some years I am able to do some combination of the 3. I also have a webpage. I would love some more ideas.
