Handicap calculation is done by averaging the Gross scores for tournaments played ( max of 10). Once you have reached 10 tournaments then the oldest score is dropped and replaced with the latest score.

The scores for those tournaments are averaged then72 is subtracted and that result is multplied

by 0.9 to arrive at the handicap. The result is rounded to the nearest whole number.

When you have an 11th score, the oldest score is removed and replaced with the latest score and
14
a recalculation is done. Depending on the result this may move someone to a higher or lower
15
flight designation.

If you have less than 10 scores the calculation is performed using the same process. We just
17
continue to add scores, do the averaging based on those number of scores and then do the other
18
calculations to arrive at your handicap.

You must have at least 3 scores from tournaments to get a handicap and make you eligible for
20
prize money in a flight.
