They will see the team working towards goals, and will have a growth and curious mindset and be keen to get involved in helping the team achieve them. They will be regularly pairing and learning from others to maximise their growth and exposure to patterns and techniques.

They will value quality and repeatability, and be starting to build up a skill set in that space aligned to the teams' implementation, though will likely still need support for complex tasks.

They will have good self awareness, and be open to feedback to help them be more effective in their workings with others.
An engineer II at Healx will be an effective individual contributor, supporting their teams’ goals on delivery, who can work on small to medium problems without supervision or guidance.

They will understand the team goals, and be able to effectively target their own work to contribute to those goals, and can be relied upon by the team to generate good quality outcomes. They will have started to see and seek out problems in the work they're doing, and will have started to supplement the solutions they build with applicable patterns to mitigate some of the problems that could arise in those solutions.

They will use approaches like pairing and other forms of collaboration with others effectively and appropriately to deliver.

They will have a solid quality and repeatability mindset and skill base, and will ensure their code quality is maximised through use of appropriate mechanisms within the team.

Their amplifying tasks will be becoming a wider part (~30%) of their role, though they will still actively be hands on and helping the team deliver against complex needs.

They will likely be helping to specify the goals of the team over the short term, and articulating wider company strategy into deliverable OKRs, and will be driving the team towards a quality and improvement mindset.

They will be a strong communicator, and will be interacting regularly outside of the team to maximise the impact the team can have.
A senior principal engineer at Healx is nearing the peak of their domain experience, and will be an active contributor to ensuring company success, both in delivery, and in design of strategic business goals. They will be taking lead on complex, strategic, long lived projects that are likely to be multiple quarters.

Their impact will be felt company wide, and they will be a known amplifier of individuals and capabilities within the company, not just within their own team. They will be seen by their own team as a core expert, and their input will help to steer team direction.

They will deliver meaningful input on strategy, and will ensure that initiatives within Healx are maximally using appropriate technology to generate exemplary results. They will likely be a company wide source of knowledge sharing and best practice, both internally and through appropriate initiatives externally.

They will communicate comfortably at exec level around strategy, trade-offs, and opportunities, in effective language that is accessible to all.
A Healx Fellow is the peak of the Healx individual contributor pathway, and will be visible across the company as someone who is helping to steer the company to a better place. They will be demonstrating regular company wide felt impact in delivery, innovation, and strategy. They will have impact outside of Healx, and may be mentioned by others as a reason for application.

They will be the final escalation point on complex issues within their domain, and will have a track record of coaching and leading people to resolution.

Their inputs on strategy will be at the macro level, and they will steer thinking and direction in relation to their domain and the wider company ecosystem. They will have a solid history of success in delivery, both their own work, and helping to amplify the work of those they work with.

They will represent the best of Healx in their field.
