Shadowlands Enchant Scaling

Changes from BfA

A lot of enchants have hidden item level requirements attached to them - notably armor kits, spellthreads, scopes and BfA enchants

This prevents you from applying the enchant to an item below the requirement and also prevent already applied enchants from working

Enchants still show up normally on gear, but don't actually work or give stats on gear below the item level requirement

These requirements are shown as min level and min iLvl in here:

min level = The minimum character level to apply an enchant

min iLvl = The minimum item level of a piece of gear for an enchant to work and to be applied

max iLvl = The maximum item level of a piece of gear for an enchant to be applied (enchants still work after items get scaled above the max)

If there's no requirement listed, there probably isn't one (few exceptions noted, and we'll probably find some more over time)

These requirements apply to the current level of heirlooms - an enchant with a min iLvl will stop working when you mail it to a low level character

Notes

Enchants scale to the top of the bracket in BGs

Tooltips in profession windows and on unapplied enchants aren't all scaling correctly

Lowered level requirement profession window tooltips are a lie (armor kits, scopes, etc) - these are keeping the same scaled level requirements as before

Wrath enchants that had a level requirement seem fixed (tested at 19 and 29)

Stats to chest enchants were mixed around and newly applied versions of the good ones require level 11 now - Glorious Stats, Peerless Stats, and Super Stats all basically apply Exceptional Stats now

Item level requirement on heirlooms scales with their level (high level can apply an enchant with requirements, but it wont work on low level)

Some enchants scale down enough at low levels to round down and give 0 stats (but still show 1)

Have only seen this at level 10 and lower so far - be wary of enchants that give 1 stat at 19 if you're gearing a character below that - enchants that are better at higher levels are safer

ilevel testing is shown (no work = ilevel it can't be applied to, work = ilevel it can be applied to)

Will probably add the new F2P/vet level once it's confirmed

Pretty sure I grabbed all relevant enchants, if something isn't listed then there is most likely a strictly better option at all levels (mostly applies to low level vanilla enchants)

May not be 100% accurate with some inconsistent tooltips and scaling, let me know if anything's wrong and I'll update it!

You can find out what enchant you have to double check scaling with /dump "[Item Link]" - it will give you a string that includes the enchant ID (need to link the item in quotes) - example below

Shadowlands enchants - not sure if they'll have hidden requirements. scaling on stat enchants looks underwhelming atm but there are some neat effects

Clean up gems, add available stats

Testing if items scaled over the max item level disables enchants

Formatting - slowly improving!

Shoutout to Aelobin's original scaling spreadsheet, wish it was still updated!

Most info comes from using the findit addon with the enchant's spell ID

Proc enchant IDs don't show scaling, so those are pulled from a mix of the profession window (shows some things correctly), scaling sliders on wowhead and in-game tests
