2
Is it possible to make a schedule true to canon for Hogwarts complete for all four houses, all seven years and for all professors by following what is written in the books by JK Rowling? This schedule is a complete attemt to create the entire schedule of Hogwarts!
3
(Use the tabs at the bottom of this sheet to see each house and professsor schedule)
4
The professors names is based on the year where Hermione is in Year 3, because that is my favorite book. I choose the title Hermione schedule because she is my favorite. Made by Andreas Palmblad, 35 year old professional schedule-creator at Swedens largest school (2600 students, 300 teachers)

7
Many of the lessons have comments from one of the Harry Potter novels about where the lesson should be, it would be amazing to have actual quotes from the book every time.

Questions and Answers
11
Does Hogwarts have the same schedule every week? Yes.
12
What classes does Hogwarts have? Look further down, students can't drop any of the core classes, only drop elective classes
13
What times are the classes? There are almost never any mention of exact times of any lesson in Harry Potter when they start and end just rough times like in the morning, after lunch etc.
14
How about other classes like Apparition? Flying? Apparition-classes is only a twelve-week optional course and therfor not part of this schedule. Flying is probably not a subject that the students have every week, this schedule assumes. Just mandatory for a few weeks for Year 1 at "At three-thirty that afternoon" [HP1]. After Year 1 it is not mandatory.
15
How can the students be busy the entire time like mentioned many times in the books, and still the professors have a possible schedule? This schedule assumes study hall exists even though it is never mentioned in the books! There is a clear example of this in the movie where in the great hall Snape help students.
16
Where are the quotations from the books that this schedule is based on? If you hover with your cursor above some lessons you can find quotes from the books, like the question below.
17
How is Hermione schedule possible in the third year when she uses a time turner? Herminone took several classes at once, this schedule assumes the also took lessons with the other houses.
18
Does a schedule according to cannon matter? No, you can still enjoy the books just as much. I only think that this attempt gives a new insight into the life at Hogwarts. Cannon does seems to be important to JK Rowling, when fans have giving examples of how certain dates has been stated as the wrong week-day then in later revisions of the book those dates has been alterd.

22
Uncertenties that this schedule has tried to answer
23
How many hours each subject has every year, if it is consistant? Probably not.
24
If which houses has that subjects together is the same every year? (Does Year 4 Gryffindor and Slytherin have Potions together every year? This schedule assumes they do.
25
Is the schedule same every year? This schedule assumes it is.
26
Are all elective at the same time? Hermione has Arithmancy same time Harry has Divination, does this mean you can never have these two at the same time. There are multiple elective schedule-positions, but how many? This schedule assums that there are some electives that the houses have together.
27
Does all houses have same subjects every year? This schedule assumes so.
28
How many lessons do the students have per subject? This schedule assumes 1 lesson per subject for every year except when clearly stated by the books that the students have same subject more than once per week. (Example Gryffindor year 4 Potions) If several houses had double lessons it would be impossible for the professors to have time.
29
How long is a lesson? How many lessons can a class have every day? This schedule assumes 4 time slots per day. Two before lunch and two after. If students eat breakfast at 9 and lunch at 12 with a 30min break between first and second lesson then every lesson is roughly 75 minutes long which seems about right.
30
30 student-groups per Hogwarts Professor teaching core subjects. (1 group per year, 7 years, 4 houses = 7 times 4 = 28 for all core subjects that are not taught with two houses at the same time. Including 2 NEWT-classes for Year 6 and 7 totaling 30 student-groups(!)
31
20 time-slots for lessons per house (5 days a week, 4 time slots per day)
32
There are also so called double-lessons clearly stated, so how can a core professors have 30 student-groups every week, but only 20 timeslots?! This schedule assumes that just like Gyffindor and Slytherin having Potions together so has other houses too, for example that maybe Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff have Sharms together even though Gryffindor has Sharms alone. This assumes that the reason why some classes are together is a cost-saving meassure so that Hogwarts doesn't need to hire new professors. Lets take Defense against the Dark Arts as possible example. Gryffinor has this subject alone in the books every year but this schedule pairs up two other the houses Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff and lets Slytherin also have the class alone. For Lupin this means that he has total 23 lessons, 20 at ordinary time-slots and 1 after dinner every week. (7 years times 2 houses is 14 lessons + another 7 lessons for the 2 houses that has the lesson together + 2 NEWT-classes = 23)
33
Astronomy is the only subject that can happen after dinner, it is stated as a midnight lesson once. This schedule assumes that all houses has this lesson after dinner. This to free up some time-slots and because it is easier to study the stars at night.
34
Exam-week is considered by this schedule as a seperate schedule that during this week canceles the ordinary schedule.
35
There are some extra-curricular classes mentioned in movies and video-games that this schedule does not consider cannon. (Ghouls, art, music, Xylomancy etc).
36
There excists an actuall Hogwarts schedule example that might be concidered almost cannon. From the book "Harry Potter Page to Screen", p. 27 by Bob McCabe (link) Style-wise this schedule in inspired by this but does not concider it canon because of its many inaccuracies.
37
NEWTs. This schedule assumes that NEWT classes are every week for year 6 and 7 at the same timespots for every house. We know that Percy Weasly had perfect NEWT score and that he took 12 NEWT. We also know that there are 12 total subjects (core+elective) at Hogwart not counting Alchemy. The NEWT classes we heard of are taught by the ordinary subject professor and therefore this schedule assumes this goes for all NEWT.
38
Can a student take multiple NEWT-classes same time? We know that severeal famous witches have, did all of them have time-turners? This schedule assumes that all NEWT-classes are at different times.
39
1000 students goes to Hogwars according to JK Rowling. Divided by 7 years dividided by 4 houses is 35 students in each class. 70 students if there is a double-class. This schedule assumes that it is ecual number of students each year and house which might not be the case.
40
Weekdays are the same as in the muggle world and they have seven days a week but it is uncertain if Hogwarts have classes at the weekend. This schedule assumes that students always have Saturday and Sunday off every year.

Which houses has classes together differ from the novels and the movies. In the novels Gryffindor has Herbology with Hufflepuff, in the movies they have Herbology with Slytherin.
