REMARKS
23
1. Harmony between Horses & Riders,
Fluency of Performance
106318technical needs to improve today.. this score reflects what the general ( average ) mark would be of most of the test . it was too bad today that the horse often last balance and were above the bit often. at this level being in elastic connection is paramount. Freestyle and Pas De deux are won by winning the technical and THEN the artistic. No matter how ARTISTIC they are if the performance is not technically good it is not possible to score well. work to get these two athletic horse more on the bit and executing their movements correctly and go at this one more!!
24
2. Choreography
design cohesiveness, use of arena,
balance, creativity, difficulty
106.5426the choreography was balanced but favored synchronization.. little pair work.. that is ok but it must be done well.. I would say also that what pair work you did was not close together and remember the horses must travel 'straight " relative to each other and the movement asked in "pair" work. the pattern was understandable and easy to follow mostly
25
3. Music
suitability, seamlessness,
cohesiveness
106212Music first of all must match - beat wise a horse's gait and it should enhance the way the horse looks while going... that means if you have three gaits show it is best to find music ( 3 pieces of music) or music that actually changes ( beat or musical time ) to match the gaits. the suitability to me was unclear especially in canter and walk. the trot was ok to it but not supergb.. and there is a lot of music out there in every genre that can really match horses work. :):) keep in mind that you are making a performance. you may choose any music you want but.. does it suit or enhance your horse is very important .... and then ( as I am so competitive I actually think about what judges might likely like.. but as I say.. I am looking for every edge when I am devising freestyles. :):) )
26
4. Interpretation
music expresses gaits,
use of phrasing and dynamics
1066does the music make your horse performance look better? ( music expresses gaits..---that may mean you will need 3 songs that are somehow relatable so that you have some continuity.. for example ( 3 lady Gaga tunes) .... or then one symphony that has time changes in the music. does your performance tell a story? or does it have a grand finale? when there is phrasing ( musical flourishes.. did you do something to those flourishes??? ) that is what this score is about.. making a performance..... your music seems often to be background like.. that was emphasised also by there only being one song.
