Ride the horse on a 15m circle at a walk. Lenghten the reins asking for a stretch and ask your horse to take 2 steps sideways from your inside leg on the circle. Now ride this new circle which is a little bigger than 15m and once you complete this circle ask for 2 more strides of sideways. Keep enlarging the circles with 2 steps sideways. This exercise ask the horse to step deeper with his inside hind and encourages him to reach down. It is a slow process but a good warm up and cool down exercise.
