This is a DIY league tool, which means that the drafting of players, updating of individual player stats, and the processing of transactions will need to be done manually by a dedicated commissioner, preferably on a daily basis. The total team stats and league standings sheets are formatted to get automatically updated as the individual stats get manually updated on each fantasy team page.

This is set up to be a rotisserie-style league. If you need it, here’s an article from Yahoo Fantasy explaining how the scoring works: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN6187.html. As previously mentioned, the appointed commissioner will be in charge of updating the cumulative total stats for each individual player on each fantasy team after each game they play, but the updated total stats for each team for each category are formatted to be updated automatically, as are the standings.

DRAFT

You can do a DIY snake draft with all the managers in your league, either online or in person. For those unfamiliar, a snake draft is where the draft order is randomly selected for the first round, and then reverses after each round so that the last manager to pick is the first to pick in the next round (1-12, 12-1, 1-12, etc). You keep going until everyone's team is full. To keep track of which players are still available, fade or cross them out of the Player List sheets.

TRANSACTIONS

If a player isn't doing as well as a manager hoped, or got injured, a manager can request a swap on their team page in the "Transaction Log" box. I've set up the sharing settings so that managers can't make changes to the spreadsheet themselves but can add comments. The commissioner will view the comments and update the team and the player lists accordingly. The commissioner will make the dropped player available on the player list for other managers to pick up if they wish. The added player will start generating stats for the manager's team once they play their next game. See the "Example Team Page" to see how this might look. If one of a manager's superstar players gets injured but they don't want to drop them and risk another manager scooping them up, they can request for the commissioner to put them on "IR" (Injured Reserve). They can then add a replacement player. A player on IR cannot generate stats for a team and can only be reinstated by the commissioner to the active roster once another player is dropped. A commissioner may want to set a limit on how many transactions a manager can make over the course of the season--I've set this at 15 on each individual team page but this can be adjusted as desired.

Team names can be changed from "Team 1", "Team 2", etc. as the managers so desire, and the spreadsheet's formulas will not be affected--just as long as whatever name replaces "Team 1" on the sheet name, for example, also replaces the "Team 1" cells on the Total Team Stats and Standings pages.

PLAYER LISTS

I've included two sets of player lists here (each set with skaters and goalies listed separately). One includes stats from last year in the categories counted here, and rankings I generated based on those stats, and the other simply lists all the players included on the 2025-26 Training Camp rosters found on thepwhl.com. The latter set is one a commissioner could use to indicate which players are taken and which players are available to add. An ambitious commissioner could update the list with stats for all the available players, or they could simply direct managers to the stats page on thepwhl.com. I will be attempting to keep my player list updated with stats and I have inserted formulas that will generate rankings that will update as I update the stats during the season. Please copy and paste and reference as desired.
