Jamestown has several goldpanning concessions on Wood's Creek, when the York "California Company" ended up. The Tuolome County Museum in Sonora's old jail has lots of gold mining displays and Columbia is a boom town that is now a state historic park on the gold rush. I don't think there is any way you could get over the mountains with a camper on the way to Carson City, so you would have to do the gold towns as a day trip from Yosemite.	57/45
