How to Use This Tool
8
9
1For best results, use on iPads, tablets, laptops or desktops. All comparisons are done on the compare tab (See tabs below).

First, log into your Google account, then click File and select Make a Copy (this will allow you to save your changes and return to them at a later date and time).

Then open each photographer's website you wish to compare in separate tabs, for example, photographer #1 in one tab, photographer #2 in another tab, and so on.

Recommend keeping the number of photographers you selected to 5. This will make it more manageable.
2Next, look at the sample sheet to get a good understanding of how to use this tool.

Then, enter the name and website of each photographer in the perspective columns (Name of Photographers & Website).

Continue this step until you have entered each photographer's name and website.
3After you have entered all the photographer's names and websites, return to each photographer's website and click on their wedding portfolio or gallery.

Then, look at each photographer’s portfolio one by one and ask yourself how much you like their photos.

Use a scale of 1 - 5 to determine your level of like, with 1 being really dislike and 5 being really like.

Enter a score in the “Like Score” column, then move on to the next trait.

Let's Take a Closer Look on How to Score Each Column Using The Scale of 1 - 5
13
14
Portfolio
15
Find the photographer’s portfolio or gallery page and rate how much you like the photos on a scale of 1 - 5, with 5 being the most liked.
16
Pricing
17
Rate the photographer's pricing based on your budget. For example:
- If price is within your budget, give the photographer a 5
- If it is just a little out of your budget and you think you can adjust your budget to meet their price, give them a 4
- If it is out of your budget by a lot, and you know for sure there is no way you can afford that price give them a 1, and so forth

Note that many photographers will not have their prices listed on their websites, and some will only have a starting price.
This is where you will need to save your work and get in touch with the photographer to see if you can get a pricing range from them.

If you can’t get an estimate from the photographer's website or diectly, enter a “0” score in the pricing column for that photographer.
18
Package
19
Analyzed each photographer’s package to see what’s included and rate them based on what is included and how important the items that are included are to you.
- An all-inclusive package with a minimum of 8 hours of coverage, a second photographer, engagement session, album, and all your photos digitally enhanced and delivered in high resolution gets a 5 rating.
- If the package has everything listed above except for all your photos, high-resolution digitally enhanced, give them a 4.
- A package with one photographer that only delivers low-resolution unedited photos should be rated a 1.

Note that this is just a guide. You will need to use your own judgment to determine what rate to give each package based on what is important to you. Also, you will most likely have to contact the photographer to get information on their package. Just let them know you are doing initial research and are not ready to book.
20
Reviews
21
Analyzed the photographer’s reviews on Google. Don’t use the review on their website. Just do a Google search for the photographer’s review. Look at the Google review rating, read a few of the reviews, and then decide on a rating. Remember to use a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest rating.
22
Communication
23
One of the biggest feedbacks we hear in the industry is clients can’t get a hold of their vendors.

Take a look at how easy it is to communicate with the photographer. Do they provide an easy way for you to contact them through their website and other means? Also, look at how responsive they are when you contact them. Do you have to wait days before hearing from them, or were you able to get a hold of them on the first try? Rate them on a scale of 1 - 5, with 5 being the most easiest.
24
Personality
25
One of the hardest things about booking a photographer who is right for you is finding one with whom you connect. You want a talented photographer, but it is equally important to have a photographer with whom you connect. If you don’t connect with your photographer, it will show in your photos.

Start by reading their About page. Are you connecting with them? What do they promise to you? How do you feel about their website's tone? Is it friendly and inviting, or are they more reserved and less open?

The bottom line is:
1. Do you absolutely love their vibe? If so, give them a 5
2. If you just really like them give them a 4 and so on
