8/27/2012 11:06:05Carrie Anne Philbin@MissPhilbin @GeekGurlDiarieswww.ictwithmissp.co.ukTech Girls On AirFor one day, there will be live webinars held between inspirational women in IT, teachers, students, girls in tech, on several different topics from how to build a computer, how to create a website, to discussions about different IT related careers and paths to get there. (like on online conference) These casts will be streamed live through google hangouts on air and a schedule of talks will be published before hand so that girls can pick and choose which to watch and as they are recorded they can be upload to youtube and watched again. Girls can ask questions through comments live and get instant answers even if they do not have the technology to take part directly. This project would depend on people willing to take part of which I have contacts through my project www.geekgurldiaries.co.uk It would need a website like https://sites.google.com/site/eduonair/ and people involved in presenting would need to have google+ account. The beauty of this project is that the target audience of teenage girls would only need access to youtube. Such a project would need to be marketed heavily in the build up to the day and would therefore need press coverage. This would take place completely online through Google+ Hangouts on Air, a website and YouTube. This means this could be countrywide and even worldwide.
