What to expect and not to expect from this document
3
-We won't explain general game / pvp mechanics as this document requires you to already know these. If you need help with those things then the community has many great video- or written guides as well as discords to get you started.
-We will present to you all the information you'll need to get started and build your own playstyle for Drakania. We will show what I use and why I use it, as well as explanations to skills, combos & playstyle with some examples. Basically we'll try to help you help yourself! :)
-Do remember that, as of writing this, the class is a new class. There will be a lot of new stuff the community finds and we surely might not know all of it. If there is anything you don't agree on or want to add to, feel free to tell us. Feedback is always welcome.
-As the title of the document indicates, we will be focusing on Succession.

Is Drakania good in PvP? Updated: December 2, 2023
7
Is Suc Drakania good in PVP? it depends on how you play her, and what your goals are. She is a Bruiser, Frontliner. Capable of taking the brunt of an attack while supporting her allies with cleanses, and enemy WP/MP drains. Her chip damage can be heavy, not quite as high as some other classes, or quite as high as awakening. However what she lacks in comparative damage is made up in sustain and accuracy rate.

In Group fights, her largest asset tends to be her damage and pressure. if a teammate is caught, droping damage on top of them can help relieve the pressure, as well as removing the slows from them, or even droping Scale PA on top of them to remove the attackers WP and prevent them from attack all together.

In Large scale pvp, she is a bulwark of the frontline with her PA, draining pushes made by the enemy allowing her team to collapse back on top of drained attackers. Her wide area attacks and AOE's also contribute massively to general kills, and deny enemies any safe place to stand. She is also a pre-engager, leaping in to support anyone else on the inital push with both her cleanses and drain, and general AOE.

In 1v1, your success with her is highly dependant on your effort and level of personal ability. She has an inherent weakness to grab classes, but that does not garantee the loss. If you practice good positioning, movement, stamina management, and learn to discern the gaps in which you can get behind the enemies front guard, or even counter on a failed grab, fighting a grab class becomes like fighting anything else, unless the grab class outgears you to a point they can sit in Qblock and do nothing. In which case your odds of success will be seriously stacked against you.

Is Drakania good in PvE? Updated: December 2, 2023
9
As of right now, every class is considered viable in pve with recent changes, and suc drak is no exception. She is considered very comfortable to grind with, and generally can pull more trash than its awakened counterpart. Is it the best? Really dont know. But as people collect data and Tier out the classes, we will find out. But what we do know is, she is very good.
10
Melee or Magic?
11
Drakania is a melee class and requires melee- accuracy & AP as well as attack speed.
12
DR or Evasion?
13
DR! Drakania has very low base evasion and no evasion passives or buffs, which makes building evasion extremely hard. Also not worth giving up damage for evasion if you're not going to be tanky with it.

How much accuracy do I need? Updated: December 2, 2023
15
Generally- you don't need to worry as much (still important to consider) about accuracy. Drakania has 7% passive accuracy and all of our primary skills have 15%-17% accuracy on them. For combos we also have a -9% evasion debuff and a 9% accuracy buff. However this said, if you do stack accuracy, you will reap the benefits of already being stacked on accuracy in the first place as well. Especially since the current meta is centered around stacking evasion.
35
Which skills should I lock?
36
Lock the evasion roll, and you can also lock Slayer Training at the top (the lmb auto attack). If you have issues with input conflicts on Skewer, locking it can solve the issues, but you will not be able to combo effectivly with it if you do. Entirely personal preference. The Magnus skilll is also personal preference, as the cancels you can perform change wildly based on if you take the skill or not. It is also personal preference, no wrong anwser.
37
Why should I trust what you're saying?
38
Because. :C
