Frederick W. Harris, Reginald V. Harris Bro. Reginald V. Harris member of St. Andrews Lodge, W. Bro Frederick W. Harris member of Annapolis Royal Lodge.
Annapolis Royal Lodge No. 33 On the Registry of the Grand Lodge of Nova Scotia.
Reprint of three talks on Freemasonry origins in Canada, 275th anniversary of Freemasonry in Canada. Discusses origins of speculative freemasonry and its admission into Masonic Lodges, discounts possibility that this might have been an early version of this. Maybe just a gravestone? Lescarbot's account talks specifically about masons and stonecutters and their work in 1606 on the Port Royal fort. Possibly stone referred to a Provencal carpenter guild which used the same emblem as later Masons, commemorating death of a particular carpenter/locksmith in 1606. 5.5" X 8.5" H <.25" thickness. Paperback, white cover with blue printing, inside is black/white reprints of addresses.
