• This sheet includes sections for INITIAL DOWNLOAD based on the number of installs (e.g. for games on mobile) or sales data (console & PC)
• This sheet also includes tabs for UPDATES to already installed games.
• Read instructions for each method before completing (smaller text below each large heading)
• Working from left to right, one row at a time, fill the red shaded boxes with your collected data

Installs (Measured by total installs, per region) and Updates by update file size (by region)

For this option, a studio collects region-based data about the number of copies of the game installed on devices, using data reported by digital distribution platforms (Steam, Play Store, App Store, Unreal Store, etc).

There are three components to this method:
• Component A – Installs (to be completed by all reporters using the Standard – options for GENERIC platform, IMPORT FROM STEAM, and IMPORT FROM APP STORE). Users gather download data per region (country) and file size of installs.
• Component B – Updates (to be completed by all users of the Standard, except those without game updates during the reporting period). NB: It is permitted to report game update data aggregated to the level of continent in a reporting period with several updates, however this will reduce accuracy.
• Component C – End user energy consumption while downloading (OPTIONAL – only required when game file sizes are very large 100+ GB, or when player counts for a game are >1 million)

If game versions are the same size download across all regions, leave "regional file size override" blank – however if some regions have larger/smaller game files (from extra language or localization files, etc) then use this column to record where different file sizes exist for a specific region. (Optional)
