Sept 156• We heard from Tiffany & Holly that the kids were climbing all over the chairs in the room when they taught, so we removed the tables and stacked all the chairs next to the wall and had all the kids sit on the floor in the classroom.

• We reviewed the classroom rules and expections first thing

• Used Google's Sheets (https://docs.google.com/presentation/u/0/) for all the lesson's images & slides

• The kids enjoyed the acting/pretending scenes & questions peppered throughout the lesson/story

• Always had an adult/teen sit in-between Kladder boys

• Used the giant kid bibles (in the cabinet) and had kids look up the bible verse in groups of 2

• We tried the Prayer Stations and paired 1 girl & 1 boy together and used the take home worksheet. The "Draw It" & "Read It" went well, but the group struggled w/ "Journal It"

• At the end we gave the kids the choice to play "Prayer Charades" or a worship song video. They chose the video.
• The lesson was a bit long but had some good stuff, so it was hard to not cut out too much. Due to this, we didn't have a lot of time for any activities.

• The boys were very resistant to doing anything. We had to really push them to be involved

• It took us around 2hrs the day before to prepare for the lesson. We're hoping this prep time will decrease as we become more familiar with the curriculum.

Sept 2214• A couple kids came in and went directly to the stacked up chairs and sat on them. We let them stay there as long as they were sitting still (thought this would help to keep the boys separated a bit), but it quickly turned into musical chairs so we had to keep them all off the chairs.
• Had a very large group and lots of squirming. After about 15-20 min of lesson 1/2 the kids were moving all over the room and completely unable to sit still. Maybe getting them up and moving earlier would help. Had to do lots of reminding of the rules.
• Keeping the boys engaged was difficult. Once one starts acting up they all seem to follow.
