Jack Benny Middle School in Waukegan, Illinois services students in grades 6-8. Waukegan is a diverse community composed of 57% of students on the free and reduced lunch program and 13.2% are part of the English Language Learners program. District wide - 73.8% of students are Hispanic, 13.2% are African American, and 12.7% other.

Jack Benny Middle School will continue to pursue academic growth and attainment in the areas of math and reading. The goal is to remain ahead of the district strategic plan as exhibited in NWEA EOY benchmark. Math growth above 70%, math attainment above 40%, reading growth above 70% and reading attainment above 50%.

We are a diverse educational institution that empowers all students to be successful change-agents in an ever-changing global society. Students utilize critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity applying a variety of resources such as 1:1 technology, intervention and enrichment programs such as Aleks and Achieve3000, and a student advisory committee.
