Marshall73%ModernizationThe architect submitted plans to DSA on 1/24/18. The architect split the modernization project into two project increments in order to expedite the DSA approval process. Increment one calls for the modernization of the kindergarten wing (A) and was approved by DSA in August 2018. Increment two calls for the expansion of the Multipurpose Room, was rejected by DSA due to an incomplete submittal process. DSA required additional documentation for the new fire hydrant and structural upgrades for the MPR building expansion which made the project cost increase beyond project budget. The architect has revised the scope of work for increment two based on the 6/28/18 board meeting to design an outdoor multipurpose area in lieu of the MPR expansion. The facilities staff put the incremement one project out for bid in October 2018 and received one bid that was unresponsive. The facilities staff bid interior painting, flooring, and window shades for Kindergarten wing separately to expedite work. This work finished mid February, and staff moved in 1st weekend of March. The Mobile Modular interim housing classroom delivery and set up was completed in early October. Site work and utility connection project for interim housing was grouped with the outdoor multi-purpose area as one DSA submittal package to utilize the same ADA access points.
