VARIANCE
9
REMOVALHard: destroy or exile. Can be interacted with while on the stack but it ends there. Takes out a vital piece of the game as Dandans are limited and the only way to push the game forward. Don't put more than 8.Usually cheap but rare in blue.INSTANT or SORCERY?INSTANT: more freedom, more speed, more interactions possible, more complex stack. You need to adapt your playstyle to your opponent if the're beginner in order not to frustrate them. Have some compassion for more fun.Gameplay variations from FF that might not satisfy player's vision of the game, such as various tokens.
10
Soft: to top library.Creates more opportunities. Great for most lists as it can be redrawn be the player removing it, or can be fought for as on the top lib.Usually quite expensive unless with some counterpart. Thus making them difficult to insert on a list.If your list includes a lot of sorceries, try to add cards that give Flash until end of turn (tagged as "gives flash" on scryfall) [Emergence Zone] is a good example.SORCERY: slower, hard sets the pace of the game. Weaker to the few instants of the deck. Chill. Can be more risky so feels more intentional.
11
Soft: to hand.Basic. Should be picked if it has some other upsides (draw, scry etc.). No more interactions and the caster knows the opponent has it in hand now.The cheapest.
