BUDGET / NET WORTH / FIRE SPREADSHEET with POCKETBOOK INTEGRATION
Created by /u/financially-frugal with inspiration and work from /u/wijwijwij, big thanks to /u/hrlngrv for help with the income and expenses formula.
ALL VALUES ARE JUST DUMMY DATA - Go to File > Make a Copy to save it to your own Drive.
To use this spreadsheet to it's full potential you will need Pocketbook.. if you want the non-pocketbook manual version, please use this spreadsheet:
1. Export Pocketbook transactions as a .CSV file. Open it and remove the unnecessary columns, remove the minus (-) sign from the amount column and flip the data so the most recent is first. Copy paste it into the Transactions tab.
Note: The Income and Expenses formulas look for the category names on Column C of the Income and Expenses sheets and compare it to the categories on the Transaction sheet Column C. Feel free to change them or add different types of categories, but you'll need to add them to Pocketbook manually as well. The name of the Category in the Income and Expenses sheets must match your Pocketbook category perfectly. The Income and Expenses page will automatically update when you add in the new month's expenses.
2. On the Assets page, enter the tickers for your shareholdings in row 2. You can find them on finance.google.com, some stocks (particularly U.S vanguard funds) have more data available for you to use such as expense ratio, YTD change %, but most of the AU domiciled ones are limited to what is currently in the sheet.
3. If you want to add Crypto holdings onto the asset page, you will need to install the CRYPTOFINANCE google sheets add-on which again is limited to price and % changes etc.
4. There is two scripts to copy the Total value of your assets and liabilities into each respective sheet (at the bottom), you need to set a time trigger (tools > script editor) for each to run once a month/year etc. and you need to change the sheet key in the two scripts to whatever yours is (it's in the URL). You will need to enter liabilities manually, unfortunately there's no way to make liabilities automatically update.
5. The net worth page just pulls values from Assets / Liabilities.
6. The Time to FI/RE calculator gives you an idea of far you are from retiring with your desired withdrawal rate and rate of investment return.
