1012Theory ShawDoesn't have to be exact, but would be nice to have someone vegetate the site... just a rough approximation of vegetation...trees...shrubs...grassesOmei, Mel, KeystoneopenKeystone:I haven't done anything with the actual 3D trees, vegetation, etc. - but I tried adding alpha base/terrain textures to help augment the vegetation you guys have done. If you don't like it, feel free to delete it!

1025Theory ShawIn order to show more parking lot, i think the entire project should be shifted South (SL-orientation)TheoryopenExtending the aerial photo to the edge of the sculpties is less work than generating new new sculpties. I'll try that first.i don't think new sculpies is necessary... i have a sense that we might want to turn off the aerial anyway for the final presentation. Think it would look better, not having the washed out green, low resolution, aerial anyway. I'm not clear what you are suggesting then, Theory. Can you elaborate?just saying we might want to turn off the texture because it's so washed out and grainy, but keep the sculpty topography....perhaps with a different texture...grass or something....or we might want to just explore messing with the topograhpy of the sim instead... that way we can level out the path in certain locations...berm it in others. Makes the edge of the path too more realisitc, when you can pull the ground up around the hard edge of a straight box prim that is forming the path. It looks like too... that Linden Lab's stock grasses, which we can use, only adhere to the sim topography...you can't move them up in the z dimensionI certainly don't object to replacing the aerial and sculpties with SL terrain for the presentation. I can see the advantages. But I don't have the skill for that. Hand-tweaking the sculpted terrain is something I could do. It should be fairly easy to do some things, like flatten out the railroad bed, for example. But I'm not sure whether I could get precise enough control to match the terrain to a path.aight... i can take a stab at it. Can you make those sculpties modifiable... so i can move them around. Thanksjbrouchoud: although - i personally like the aerial sculpties for the more distant shots
i think it looks pretty cool that we can import that photogrphy..
but for close-ups, i can see that it would be too pixelated
Ryan: yeah...i 'm on the fence on that... i just want to see what it looks like
jbrouchoud: i don't feel strongly either way either
for sure, cool - well, check it out
see how it looks - try it both ways
Ryan: cool..yeah perhaps it's both...not sure
Omei: The resolution on the aerial photos can be cranked up 2-3x (linear) if that's the way we go.
Omei: I was very disappointed with the results of using higher-resolution images. I broke my large bitmap up into 4 1024x1024 JPEG images and imported them into SL, But they there was o significant improvement over what we have, which is 1024x1024 spread over the whole quarter region. At this point, I'm not sure whether I can actually get a better result.

1045Theory Shawtriangular shading canopies to be detailed out... with sculpty and connection details to pylons.Omeiin progressI'm not super skilled with sculpties and am having troubles making them look really good. Would welcome help. (Omei: Zage/Frederic here, what exactly do you need done here? I am good at certain types of sculpties and willing to help)for inspiration: http://www.coolaroousa.com/view-products.do?category_id=Shade%20SailsOmei, I saw them and I can do those sculpties. But I won´t have good internet connection till sunday night, so i will probably deliver them to you on monday.

1129Theory Shawfind a real looking train, via https://www.xstreetsl.com/, or similar to locate along tracks?openKeystone: the train i made a while back wasn't too detailed, but it was photo-sourced directly from images of the kind of train that passes through these tracks - i believe. the only reason i made it was because i couldn't find a decent, modifiable version of it (it needs to be mod so it can be scaled down).

1151OmeiDrinking fountain(s). Again, required by the design. At least half have to comply with accessibility specification. See section 16 of http://openarchitecturenetwork.org/sites/openarchitecturenetwork.org/files/active/10/accessguiderev_titlepagewithdisclaimer.pdf for requirements.Theorydone
