Om langer zelfstandig thuis te kunnen wonen, moeten er passende voorzieningen nabij de woningen voor ouderen aanwezig zijn. Maar waar is thuis geografisch gezien? En zijn daar dan voldoende voorzieningen zoals supermarkten, huisarts of apotheken? En welke zorg wordt geleverd door ziekenhuizen, verpleegtehuizen of buurtcentra voor de thuiswonende ouderen? <br><br>Lees hieronder een aantal wetenswaardigheden over dit onderwerp. Je ziet hier het verschil tussen 2012 en 2020. Daarbij moet worden opgemerkt dat hier een groot gedeelte van de baby-boomers onder vallen. De verwachting is dat de bevolking de komende tijd in aantal zal toenemen. Dit komt vooral door migratie en een hogere levensverwachting.8HiddenNederland526

Hoe zit het dan met Krimp?Hierboven kon je zien dat bevolking zeer waarschijnlijk zal toenemen in aantal. Dit is echter een landelijke prognoses. Dit geldt niet voor elke regio in Nederland. In 2015 zijn door het ministerie van BZK zogenaamde krimpregio's aangewezen. Dit zijn regio's diewaarschijnlijk te maken krijgen met een daling in het bevolkingsaantal. Waar wonen de ouderen?Om een beter beeld te krijgen waar ouderen wonen zoomen we even een eindje in. Voor dit verhaal gaan we naar de Provincie Friesland. Zoals je net hebt kunnen zien valt een groot deel van Friesland onder de krimp- en anticipeerregio's. <span style='display:block;width:100%;height:2px;background-color: silver; margin: 20px 0;'></span> Aan de rechterkant zie rode blokjes.
