LEADERS - How to Create a new event

If you see an event that has now happened, fill out the information on the 'Totals' tab (so we can calculate how much CO2 we save each year by carpooling)., then DELETE the tab for the past event.

Click the small dropdown arrow on the tab named 'Example' (to the right of these instructions) and click 'Duplicate' - This creates a new tab called 'Copy of Example'.

Click the small dropdown arrow on the tab named 'Copy of Example' and keep clicking 'Move Left' until it is the first tab in the list of tabs. Usually it will be the only tab left of 'Instructions' unless there are several carpooling events coming up.

Click the small dropdown arrow on the tab named 'Copy of Example' and click 'Rename'. Name the tab after your event.

Optional: Add a link to this spreadsheet in your activity description on Outdoors Connector

When you send an email to your participants with the information sheet encourage folks to carpool and include the link to this spreadsheet (it lives on the 'Conservation' home page as well as the 'Hiking' home page)

Fill out the number of miles left undriven in the 'YYYY Trees Saved' tab.

Fill out the 'YYYY Hall of Fame' for each of your carpool drivers
