Criteria for applying this scholarship is based on the following criteria: One scholarship awarded yearly to a student from each IRTA geographic area (nine areas), Applicant must be a direct descendent or legal dependent of an Indiana teacher (teacher can be active, retired or deceased), Applicant must be enrolled in an education program at an Indiana college or university, Applicant can apply as either a sophomore or junior, Applicant must have at least a “C” average GPA in the first three semesters of his college work.
