Somewhat easy, the elevation gain looks harder than it really is 3 miles one way - the plan is to go up, enjoy a snack/light lunch and the gorgeous view. Plan for approximately 3 hours. $5 parking fee, park pass not valid here.

We will go up the bluff trail and take it to the Jodhpur access, where we will drop down to the beach and walk back towards the chalet. Expect to be out 3 to 4 hours. TRAIL OF BLUE ICE PORTAGE VALLEYWED10/18/201710:00 AM Meet at Carrs Huffman, Row F to carpool to Moose Flats day use parking area (on the left, just past the turn off from the Seward Highway to Portage). This is flat terrain, more of a “walk" than a hike but be aware it can be very slippery with wet leaves on the bridges. We will walk a couple of miles, have lunch, and return. BALL FIELD EXPLORATORY TO MIDDLE FORK TRAIL OR IF IT SNOWS HIKE ALL OR PART OF MIDDLEFORK LOOPWED10/25/20179:30 AMMeet at Glen Alps parking lot, dogs must be leashed.Climb to ball field up the gully which means about 30-40 minutes of steep uphill. Enjoy the ballfield area and then head north to descend more gently through tundra and brush. Find a way to the knob/hill which sits along Middle Fork trail.
