ComputerComputerUpdate Wirecast template with any additional graphics, commercials, etc. Checks computer storage, Windows updates, etc.Setup computer. Make sure all inputs are connected correctly (video + audio + internet). Start Wirecast, setup scoreboard, check internet connection. Start stream 15-20 minutes prior to start of event.Runs scoreboard. Monitors stream connection, recording, audio of stream. Runs commercials - while communicating with crew on timing. Rename recording of stream --> copy file to local network drive (if at JCC). Let stream run additional 2-5 minutes after end of broadcast. Reset scoreboard if multiple games. At setup, may have to open Blackmagic software to choose SDI or HDMI capture input. At end of recording the stream, rename the video file using the format: YYMMDD Striv Event Type Desciption (ie: 181219 Striv Basketball vs Freeman 1 Varsity Girls.mp4)

Camera 1Main Camera / HudlChecks camera storage (clear SD card). Charge all camera batteries. Make sure all tripod quick-release mounts are in correct location.Setup camera + LANC + tripod + mini-HDMI cables to either computer or ATEM switcher. Check white balance and make sure SD card is loaded. Captures the regular wide-angle (all players) shot, while also recording for Hudl. Shows the scoreboard at every timeout, end of quarter, etc. Gives SD to appropriate coach. Will also load additional SD card if multiple games. May reset white balance depending on next event.May use calibration card to set custom white balances if in a different gym. All cameras should have comparable white balances if using multiple cameras (so they look the same). Move camera to a nice wide angle shot once setup is complete.

Camera 2Zoom CameraChecks camera storage (clear SD card). Charge all camera batteries. Make sure all tripod quick-release mounts are in correct location.Setup camera + LANC + tripod + mini-HDMI cables to either computer or ATEM switcher. Check white balance and make sure SD card is loaded. Captures zoom angle during the game. This camera may additionally record if footage is being used for Striv class editing. Pack up camera, LANC, tripod, power cable, etc. (both Camera 1 and Camera 2 work together on this).To help maintain the health of batteries, try to charge all cameras prior to event and then run cameras on battery during portions of the event. Leave cameras on AC power during setup. Make sure the zoom camera is more zoomed in than the main camera at the end of setup.

ATEMATEM Camera SwitcherCheck condition/space/updates of computer being used as controller. Check condition of all cables, firmware of software on computer & ATEM itself. Connect all cameras. Setup controller computer (connect ethernet). Setup HDMI or SDI program out to main computer. Setup multiview monitor.Live switch between cameras, including communication with camera operators. Important to make sure the ATEM & the controller computer are both packed carefully. Don't forget to gather all HDMI & SDI cables & converters.Keep small fan on ATEM to help prevent overheating. If using ATEM, cameras must be manually set to HDMI resolution (instead of auto). When ATEM is first powered on, both Preview & Program are set to Cam 1 -- you must select a different cam number (such as "2") prior to trying to switch with space bar.

Commentator 1Play-by-PlayScout upcoming opponents' records, key players/story lines. Update JCC record, stats. Plan intro segments, halftime/post-game interviews.Connect main audio board including headsets, crowd mic, USB back to computer, also RCA output to production crew audio board. Test mic levels.Regular commentary + remember to state time & score (and down/distance for FB). Remember to describe teams/uniforms. Use names!Pack up main audio board and any wireless microphones setup. Gather RCA cable that connects commentators to production board. Additional wireless microphones may be setup for sideline reporting. If also using wireless monitor (so they can hear), add another headphone amp to the commentators' audio board.

Commentator 2Color CommentatorSchedule any guest interviews. Check batteries on any wireless equipment + condition of headsets. Second audio board + headphone amp for production crew. Prepare for any halftime/post game interviews. Check on name pronounciations.Keep track of important stats (FB scoring plays, VB set scores, BB scores by quarter/top scorers). Pack up the second audio board for production, including headphone amplifer. Pack up all headsets (from commentators & production audio board).If additional cameras are remote, there will be more cables to gather: SDI (for video), XLR/ 1/4 cables (for headset communication).
