NoNoNoI have witnessed the company actively work to improve fee structures throughout my time with them. When I started, all aspects of a project were considered part of the flat fee per contract but by my last year with the company we were receiving per diem, amendments for any additional hours spent in process, reimbursement for travel to/from airport, and parking fees.We were always welcomed to join community classes sponsored by the company at no cost to us. We would sometimes volunteer at fundraising events, workshops, or shows but it was always optional and we were compensated non-monetarily in a variety of ways. The company provided opportunities to teach and choreograph that were always compensated.ManWhiteGay/lesbianNo, I am non-disabled.No

Caleb Teicher & CompanyNYCI've been with the company since before it was formally a company. Before the company was established, I think I was always paid for my work - like an all-inclusive fee at the end (I think starting at $50 for a piece under 10 minutes). All of the rates I'll list in the survey reflect 2019 rates.
As a dancer, $25/hour. As a rehearsal director or dance editor, $30/hour.

Any photoshoots, weekly press engagements, and additional performances were all included in the weekly salary. This often included extra performances added on weeknights, after a 10 hour rehearsal day. There were (and still are) no cap on the amount of performances they were allowed to add on. We also received no hazard pay for a) dancing every day on concrete performance venues b) being required to rehearse and perform outdoors in 90 + degree weather (also daily) c) jumping 10 feet down from one boat into another (non stationary) boat for a performance
