| 10/23/2015 14:15:10 | Steve (ThaGreatWazoo) | 377 | 87.5 | Nice looking deep chocolate wrapper. There were a few veins that were distinct, but nothing that should become a nuisance. Nice cap and a very clean cut on the foot. | 90 | This cigar had a very nice, crisp aroma of leather and moss. Near the foot the aroma picked up in strength and gave off subtle hints of black pepper. | 85 | Medium-Strong | Medium-Full | Instantly, this cigar is very full strength. Not for the faint at heart. A nice leather starts the profile, but a char finishes it and almost hinders the flavor. The retrohale has a crisp white pepper that does nicely to round out the flavor. | 90 | Medium-Strong | Medium-Full | The char flavor has subsided and the leather takes hold nicely. A very earthy finish cleans up the profile throughout the second third. | 90 | Medium-Strong | Medium-Full | The smoke is bellowing out of this cigar still. Great finish with minimal heat intrusiveness. The leather and earth are still present and the strength has picked up a little. The cigar held up throughout and was quite pleasant. | 90 | Really open and clean draw on this cigar. Had me worried in the beginning, but was quite nice. | 92.5 | Very nice cool ash and razor sharp lines. Very little up keep and the smoke bellowed out nicely. | 87.5 | Nice construction to this cigar. Good looking wrapper that had a few veins. Clean cut foot and a nice feel. Well done. | 92.5 | Surprisingly excellent experience with this cigar after the initial harsh char flavor subsided. Nice notes and a strong burn continued through the remainder of the cigar. Has a very nice amount of smoke coming off of it and was just all around a great stick. Good job to the maker and try some if you are in the mood for a strong cigar. | 62
| 10/25/2015 12:57:48 | Robert (NavyPiper) | 377 | 87.5 | Tonight's stogie is one dark, beefy cigar. Measurements reveal a size of 5X52, but just looks bigger than the ring gauge measured it to be. Color is a very dark, almost black coffee color with a mild sheen to it. Head is flat & the cap is well centered. There's a couple of very prominent veins on the wrapper that do affect the seams when they cross over the veins. However it is a very nice stogie to look at. | 90 | The aroma was grassy/earth combination. | 90 | Medium | Medium | After punching the cap & lighting up, I'm greeted with flavors of a nice tobacco, a mild mustiness like old newspapers, and a very mild spice. The spice started off very mild, but slowly but steadily increased in strength during the third, leaving a nice zing on the lips & palate along with some heat in the sinuses. | 90 | Medium-Strong | Medium | Going through the 2nd third, there is a general increase across the board in all flavors, but more so with the spice. It's pretty powerful & flavorful- very nice & enjoyable third I must say. | 90 | Medium | Medium | In the final third, I was surprised when everything decreased in flavor, as I was expecting it to continue ramping up. I think that even though the spice was pretty stout, I think it was actually being held back some by the mustiness. Not a bad thing, just an observation. | 90 | Draw was vey nice, no issues from start to finish. | 87.5 | Burn was good except for a few times when it got real wonky, but after touching it up it was fine. Had this occur maybe 4 times during the smoke, and only took a moment to touch it up and things were good. | 90 | No construction issues noted during the review. | 90 | Overall it was quite enjoyable to me. Even though I was expecting it to increase more in the final third, it was nice to have a stogie with mellow start that began ramping up through the first two thirds, then a mellow decrease in the final third. Loved the spice, and was bummed to see it finally come to an end. A Toro size I think would be awesome! | 92
| 11/1/2015 11:37:58 | Wes (SosaCub4Life) | 377 | 92.5 | Robusto that is rustic looking, darker wrapper. Not the cleanest and has quite a few seems but still a nice looking cigar. | 87.5 | I did not pick up much for aroma.. there is some of the traditional tobacco, but seem to be kind of a bitter chemical smell also. | 95 | Medium | Medium-Full | This cigar has started off very well for me. There is a good amount of spice, especially on the retrohale. It's not an overpowering strong pepper spice but it a nice pleasant spice. There is also a sweetness that lingers after the spice fades. The cigar is producing tons of smoke and holding a great ash. | 95 | Medium | Medium-Full | The spice has picked up some in this 2nd third and now makes your entire mouth tingle with the stronger spice. The cigar is still creamy an full and just keeps pumping out smoke like a machine. | 95 | Medium | Medium-Full | The cigar is super think and creamy. The spice is still there on the retro and hits the back of the throat. The cigar is so think and creamy that is coats the entire pallet and lets all the flavors linger for a long time. | 95 | The draw started a bit loose but then became good. | 97.5 | The burn was great. Almost razor sharp throughout. | 100 | I can't complain about the construction. Good burn, cigar held a great ash, it produced just tons of smoke. | 95 | Overall I did like this cigar. It had a real good mix of some stronger spices but was so think and creamy and in the beginning did have some sweetness as well. It was a good cigar to smoke. I would pick this on up again. | 60
| 11/1/2015 18:46:12 | Jack (Jack_H) | 377 | 87.5 | This cigar has nice color to it but there are some veins and inconsistency with the wrapper. | 90 | I smell leather wood and some black pepper it is a nice aroma to get started. | 95 | Mild-Medium | Medium-Full | The cigar tastes Really herbal and soft with white pepper a nice finish. Super smooth and complex really unlike any cigar I have smoked in recent memory. I get some flashes of spice here and there I am really enjoying the start to this cigar. | 95 | Medium | Medium-Full | The second third has some more smoky earthy strength, it is almost an entirely different cigar than the first. The burn is near razor sharp with and the flavor is pretty fantastic, at this point I am getting some real strength but also a hay taste which is uncommon for a cigar with this level of strength. | 90 | Medium | Medium | Up to this point the burn and draw have been great the flavor is some rich pepper and also the same herbal notes from the beginning. The strength is in between the soft start and the powerful second portion. It is a slight step down from each of the previous thirds but still good. | 92.5 | The draw was solid start to finish. | 95 | The burn was near perfect for 45 minutes but near the end it got slightly wavy. | 92.5 | This was clearly a expertly crafted cigar, though I was a bit worried with the appearance of the cigar but it really preformed well. | 92.5 | This was a cigar that was elegant to start and had some real flavor changes while maintaining a very unique and complex flavor. I enjoyed this thoroughly and it was a cigar that you could smoke in any circumstance, morning, noon or night. | 75
| 11/3/2015 17:45:48 | Sandeep (Djangos) | 377 | 95 | Great looking robusto sized cigar with a dark chocolate wrapper. The veins are visible on the surface but not too prominent. No major blemishes to the surface. Firm to the touch the entire length with no soft spots. There are two well applied caps present. | 97.5 | The cigar has an almost exotic aroma of leather mixed with a mild pine like flavor. Also there is a distinct woodsy notes as well. The dry puff is also quite intriguing with sweet coffee notes mixed with a slight floral characteristic. There is a definite cinnamon/nutmeg sweetness to the tongue as well. | 95 | Medium | Medium-Full | The initial third starts off with a blast of pepper that increases in intensity over the next half inch or so after which it mellows out some. The main interest in the flavor profile however. A very prominent leather mixed with woodsy notes is the predominant flavor. There is also a strong barnyardy characteristic present in the background. I am not entirely sure how all there flavors are able to exist clearly in harmony is quite baffling. The finish is definitely sweet with a slight nuttiness reminiscent of almonds. The smoke is abundant and creamy. The ash is holding well till the end of the third. No issues whatsoever with the burn and the draw. An amazing start to this cigar. | 92.5 | Medium | Medium | The middle third is not as complex as the initial third but then again that amount of complexity is usually not common. The predominant flavor in this third is leather and tobacco. There is a mild pepper also present with each puff and adds some to the complexity. The sweeter flavors have by now disappeared and I can get a rare whiff of the nuttiness that was quite prominent in the initial third. The burn line is slightly skewed but no major issues and did not need any touch ups. No issues with the draw. | 90 | Medium | Medium | The final third is also the least complex of this cigar. The major flavors are leather, tobacco and pepper. Most of the other flavors are non existent by now. The pepper starts a little after the start of the third and then ramps up till the end of the cigar. The flavors are less complex however very pleasant. There were no issues with the draw and burn in this third. Over all a great experience. | 97.5 | No issues with the draw till the very end. | 90 | There was some skewing of the burn line in the middle third but this did not require any touchups and straightened itself in the final third. | 92.5 | Well constructed cigar with a firm to touch profile. No issues with the wrapper and there was no cracking or unraveling of the wrapper. Also the cigar did not soften considerably after the heat went through it. | 95 | Over all this was a great experience which would have been even better if the flavors present in the initial third persisted or even of different flavors had increased the complexity of the subsequent thirds. Nevertheless the rest of the cigar was also a great experience. Will definitely try again! | 65
