Purpose:
3
The primary goals of this spreadsheet are to centralize tournament planning for tournament directors, increase transparency for teams for when tournaments are happening, and provide a central hub for everyone wanting to know more about potential tournaments before they go on the USQ calendar. We are also hoping this tool decreases the number of tournaments unintentionally planned on the same day within one region, which should relieve some of the logistical pressures. Lastly, this spreadsheet will function to give basic information about a tournament such as goals (college/club only or combined, challenge format or pool play, official or unofficial, ect) and TD contact information to facilitate easy TD to TD communication in the planning process. This document is unofficial and does not replace the present process of submitting tournaments to USQ for approval.

Guide to Use:
6
1. A TD has an idea of a date they would like to host a tournament
7
2. On the Master tab, the TD will add the name will find the date they are interested in hosting and add their team name under that date
8
3. The team name should be highlighted in their region specific color indicated at the top of the sheet
9
4. The TD clicks on their region’s tab
10
5. The TD again finds the date they are considering hosting a tournament and inputs the basic information including host team name, general location, TD name, TD contact, and any specific goals or notes (size, college/club, invitational/open registration)
11
6. If a TD is looking at a date where there are already many tournaments being hosted within close proximity, the TD should brainstorm additional dates or reach out to the other TDs looking to host on that date
12
7. Once a TD is firm on a date, they should follow the normal USQ procedure for submitting a tournament to the calendar.
