1. Communication and EngagementGPN will engage members on campus and potential partner organizations through a variety of communication strategies.

Objective 1Document and communicate the value of GPN to the membership and beyond.

Objective 2Expand the base of individuals at member institutions who are actively engaged in GPN activities.

Objective 3Maintain vigorous partnership, outreach, and advocacy programs to jointly develop, promote, and share the benefits of networking and cyberinfrastructure within the greater GPN community.

Objective 4Build a security community among GPN membership to build peer groups, increase knowledge and maintain skills.

2. NetworkingGPN will provide leadership in advanced networking at the regional and national level by promoting technical, collaborative and informative efforts on behalf of the membership

Objective 1Provide connectivity to national high performance research and education networks with the capacity, reliability and services needed to support the requirements of the GPN members.

Objective 2Expand the reach of GPN network through collaborations and partnerships.

Objective 3Develop and Implement processes to ensure that GPN’s network and operations deliver the services needed by our members in the most efficient manor possible.

3. CyberinfrastructureGPN will help to build a regional community of practice in the application and use of cyberinfrastructure in support of member missions and the competitiveness of the region.

Objective 1Identify and promote promising CI and research collaboration opportunities among members.

Objective 2GPN will be a partner and/or provider in research projects that advance the future of innovative, Internet-based technologies.

Objective 3Participate in and contribute to CI workshops and conferences (regional, national and international) and facilitate the discussion among GPN members with respect to issues raised to both inform our members and to establish GPN’s position on these issues.
