|PURPOSE: To introduce the rider and/or horse to the sport of dressage. To show understanding of riding the horse forward with a steady tempo into an elastic contact with independent, steady hands and a correctly balanced seat. To show proper geometry of figures in the arena with correct bend (corners and circles).||RIDER #||8029|
USDF INTRODUCTORY LEVEL – TEST B
|Enter working trot rising.|
Halt through medium walk.
Salute - Proceed working trot rising.
|Straightness on centerline and in transitions; clear trot and walk rhythm.||6.5||6.5||rider collapse over left rib cage and leaning left : horse veers right at the halt at shoulders due to weight imbalance . halt almost square but horse not truly in alignment due to rider weight issue. rider leaning left and a lot of leg aids to move forward from halt|
|2||C||Track left, working trot rising.||Balance and bend in turn.||7||7|
|3||E||Circle left 20 meters, working trot rising.||Roundness and size of circle; clear trot rhythm and bend.||6.5||6.5||ridera; collapse over left rib cage. leaning on left stirrup to turn circle.. puts horse on inside shoulder / rider__ see your spine is not centered over the horse... impulsion inconsistent and bal to improve|
|4||Between K & A||Medium walk.||Willing and balanced transition; walk rhythm.||6.5||6.5||nice attempt to sit down but core not engaged and rider upper body sags While riding the transitions|
|5||F-E||Free walk.||Complete freedom to stretch neck forward and downward; clear walk rhythm, straightness on the diagonal; ground cover.||6.5||6.5||needs to stretch poll BELOW the wither and to take longer steps( overtrack)|
|6||E-H||Medium walk.||Willing and balanced transition; clear walk rhythm.||6||6||somehow looks reluctant .. need to flow forward with energy|
|7||Between H & C||Working trot rising.||Willing and balanced transition; clear trot rhythm.||7||7||looked more forward here. posting needs to improve and balance to be equal on both stirrups|
|8||B||Circle right 20 meters, working trot rising.||Roundness and size of circle; clear trot rhythm and bend.||6.5||6.5||unsteady to bridle, needs steadier impulsion and hands to be closer together so elbows will be more elastic|
Halt through medium walk. Salute.
|Straightness on centerline; willing, balanced transition and halt.||7||7||potsing behind motion of horse and elbows tight|
Leave arena in free walk. Exit at A.

|2||Impulsion||Desire to move forward with suppleness of the back and steady tempo.||6.5||6.5||need steadier energy throughout test|
|3||Submission||Acceptance of steady contact, attention, and confidence.||6.5||2||13||to be more consistent in elastic connection|
|4||Rider’s Position and Seat||Keeping in balance with the horse||6.5||6.5||posting behind motion of horse, need to get core more in alignment and thigh down and back for stability, arms to be more elastic and much closer together|
|5||Rider’s Correct and Effective Use of the Aids||Correct bend and preparation of transitions||6.5||6.5||rider collapse over left rib cage affecting balance, steering and forwardness|
|6||Geometry and Accuracy||Correct size and shape of circles and turns||7||7|
|this is a lovely horse.. great color and has show ring eye-appeal! this team has a steady start and needs t5o focus on going freely forward and rider more in balance and hands closer together for elastic connection.|
