AfricaTogoNon-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)CHALLENGES International Ensure access to sustainable transport for allMobility is a necessity of life today. But in Africa and Togo, transportation is a luxury for a large portion of the population. Some people are unable to access even basic social services, particularly health care and education.
It is important to ensure that rural populations have access to basic services through sustainable transportation and can live decently in their native environments.
Foster effective partnerships and collaboration;Today, there are more and more innovations and technological advances in transport (soft and clean transport, etc.). As part of the implementation of the decade, it is essential to establish clear communication, set common objectives and cultivate mutual trust between the different stakeholders. We believe that we must build lasting partnerships, share solutions and adapt them to each context.

If Enabling Active Mobility isn’t put in the spotlight this Decade, it will remain an afterthought and keep getting the crumbs. Please emphasize it more.Secure more effective and adequate financing;Considering "Scaling up domestic and international public funding and private investment, especially for capital-intensive modes such as roads, rail, maritime, aviation, and public transport."..."roads" and "aviation" should be removed as they are carbon-intensive and well funded. Meanwhile "active mobility" should be added because active mobility is very underfunded and very high ROI.

Improving logistics and connectivity is essential for trade, economic growth, and market access, particularly for developing and landlocked countries.Improve integrated policymaking and governance;Secure more effective and adequate financing;Assess progress toward sustainable transport;Three main levers can be activated: financing, policies and governance, and measuring progress. Innovative financing mechanisms, such as carbon taxes and road tolls, can be used to mobilize funds, while better sectoral coordination and long-term planning can improve governance. Finally, establishing clear performance indicators and robust monitoring systems will be necessary to assess progress.

Secure more effective and adequate financing;Page 19 (1): To “Expanding the use of such [innovative finance] mechanisms…” should be added “…in a socially responsible way…” as e.g. land value capture also entails social risks. EuropeAustriaEducation and Academic EntitiesTransport Data Commons InitiativeLeverage Science, Technology and Innovation for sustainable transport(p.14 at “There are large potential gains…”) The text presupposes that “artificial intelligence” (not defined) and other existing tech necessarily improves sustainability. This is not so. It is critical to mention the “development goals” first, not last. If these goals shape governance of STI, then resulting technologies are more likely to support sustainable transport and wellbeing.

Improve integrated policymaking and governance;Boost data collection, analysis and use;Assess progress toward sustainable transportAs a member of the Transport Data Commons Initiative. We intend to submit towards the call for voluntary contributions.

Asia and PacificIndiaNon-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)HaritaDhara Research Development and Education FoundationEnsure access to sustainable transport for allDraft recognizes systemic, people-centered nature of transforming transport for SDGs. It must involve vulnerable groups - youth, women, PwD, elders, rural, marginalized community and involve them for last mile connectivity for inclusive, equitable transport. Uses behavioral, cultural mindset shift towards safety, public transport system norms, and universal design for accessibility (pg. 5-6). Enhance capacity-building and peer learning;Foster effective partnerships and collaboration;Boost data collection, analysis and usePrioritizes engagement of local actors, civil society, NGO for local, frugal, fast, data collection, partnerships, and innovative solutions that actually change people’s daily lives and provide affordable just sustainable transport. Ensure awareness, capacity building through games and hands-on practical approach in fun way for larger applicability as per our work.

P.12-Suggest: Ensure multi-family/commercial building infrastructure incorporates "make ready" capability-e.g., for EV chargers, bidirectional capabilities.Improve integrated policymaking and governance;Enhance capacity-building and peer learning;Foster effective partnerships and collaborationBidirectional charging between electric vehicles and everything (V2X), e.g., homes, buildings, and the electric grid, to enhance critical infrastructure resilience during power outages (also can help manage energy loads).

Week Without Driving shines a light on that reality and invites everyone to experience, reflect, and share what life is like without driving. It’s a chance to understand daily life for the millions of people who cannot drive due to age, disability, income, or other barriers. It’s an opportunity to tell your story and help reimagine transportation.Foster effective partnerships and collaboration;Enhance capacity-building and peer learning;Assess progress toward sustainable transportThrough Week Without Driving, we’ll advance the UN Decade for Sustainable Transport by engaging policymakers and the public to experience mobility without cars, highlight systemic barriers for nondrivers, and inspire investments in equitable, low-emission, people-centered transportation systems.

EuropeSpainNon-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)Youth for Road Safety - YOURSMake transport safe and secureThe section confuses safety (preventing unintentional harm) and security (protecting from intentional harm). The plan should cite proven safe system measures: post-crash care (golden-hour survival infrastructure), 30 km/h limits where traffic and people mix, enforcement via design/tech (ITS, AI), plus child-focused actions like safe school zones and youth engagement models.Enhance capacity-building and peer learning;Assess progress toward sustainable transport;Foster effective partnerships and collaborationYOURS Academy https://www.yoursacademy.org/ develops youth/practitioner curricula on sustainable transport using brain-friendly methods that foster behaviour change and peer learning. The organisation can also support annual accountability tracking mechanisms and owns a replicable youth engagement model to foster peer-led learning across focus areas.
