Not one, but two seniors in this class will be going on to attend college at the Massachusetts Insitute of Technology in the fall. |5/9/2019||Martin Rugby had some pretty awesome weather on Saturday for the rugby 7's tournament. The boys played hard, however we went 1-3 on the day. Allen won the day going 4-0, and Alliance went 1-3 as well. Despite the record, the boys had a great rugby day - playing this great sport and meeting new friends in the process despite battering each other on the pitch for three matches. We also got to unveil our new jerseys. Thank you for the support and attendance this past weekend - the boys loved playing in front of a home crowd!|

|3/21/2019||Math National Honor Society is sponsoring a Team math competition for MHS students on Saturday March 23 in the math wing at Martin. The contest will be held from 2 to 4:30 or 5 p.m. We will have free pizza and cookies during our "break" and there will be prizes! The contest and food are all free for Team Members & volunteer helpers and you can get 4 hours credit for being in the competition or for volunteering to help. Sign up your TEAM in Mrs. Somerhalder's room 239 and also sign up to volunteer to help there too. We need volunteers to help! You must sign up by Thurs. March 21.||Clubs/Organizations|
|3/21/2019||Math National Honor Society is having a Pi Day celebration on Thurs. March 21 after school in the Art Courtyard from 3:00 to 4:30. We will be selling pies for $2.00 each and we will also be selling tickets to be able to throw a pie at some of your MHS teachers who have volunteered for this event. |
Also, we need volunteers to donate whipped cream in the spray can for our "pie's" to throw at our teachers. If you don't donate it, we cannot do it! Please bring them to Mrs. Somerhalder's room 239 by the end of the day on Wednesday Mar. 20. We will give you hours for donating these.

|3/21/2019||Congratulations to our Bass Fishing team for winning the Lake Ray Roberts tournament over Spring Break. The team of Zach Dixon and Connor Buhrkuhl took first place prizes and a scholarship and Evan Clark and Ivan Palamoraz finished in 11th place. 13 of our teams have qualified for the regional tournament to be held on Lake Lewisville in April. |3/19/2019||Congratulations to the Martin Theatre One Act Play Company for winning their District meet last week. Seniors Anna Smith and Ivan Friend were awarded "All-Star" cast for their performances, McKenna Schenck was named outstanding technician, and senior Maddie Cendrick was named Best Actress of the competition. One Act Play will travel next week to Abilene to compete at the Bi-District tournament.|
There will be a free public performance of the One Act Play, "Dancing at Lughnasa (Loo-na-suh) this Wednesday at 7pm in the auditorium. Come out and support Martin Theatre!

You will receive information about the degree programs and scholarships offered through the College of Education at The University of Texas at Arlington.
