17 | Toby currently uses FL Studio 10. Some old tracks use FL Studio 8 such as his Homestuck tracks or old Tumblr posts. | |||
18 | Toby uses NES VST 1.1 instead of 1.2. This is because the vibrato in NES VST 1.1's pitch is slightly off which explains why some of Toby's songs sound pitched up. 1.1 is also louder than 1.2. (Thank you nini for this info) | |||
19 | Leave the Fruity Limiter on the master when you start a recreation, then change the ceiling and gain accordingly. Though it's usually not by much. | |||
20 | Use events rather than automation clips for things like volume or pitch bends. | |||
21 | "THFont" or "THInst" is also known as "Touhou", being the original name of the soundfont. (Not the actual Touhou Soundfont by the way). | |||
22 | Magical8bitplugin sounds are slightly brighter than NES VST 1.1 (as well as having different waveforms) so keep that in mind for 8-bit tracks. | |||
23 | Toby has been proven to use the original Fruity Reeverb 1 and Fruity Delay 2 for Reverb and Delay respectively. | |||
24 | Please keep in mind that the decay and ms settings on reverb and delay depend on your BPM. | |||
25 | Soundgoodizer usage from Toby is very small from what's commonly believed. Don't overuse it. | |||
26 | The information for each track for UNDERTALE is based on the original gamefiles' version, which are directly exported from FL Studio. The OST versions are often sped up so recreating the gamefiles' version would lead to more accurate results. | |||
27 | Various UT and DR instruments are detuned to change their timbre; If you're unsure, pitching the instrument 200 cents down or up is a good rule of thumb. | |||
28 | Toby uses the original version of Magical8bitPlugin, not 2. (Duty Cycle works diferently between versions). | |||
