Parents' undocumented status usually does not affect student's eligibility to apply for certain types of aid. Eligibility for financial aid typically depends on the student's citizenship status. When completing the FAFSA, student will need to submit all zeros for social security number and submit it without signatures. Students that are classified as a Texas Resident who cannot apply for federal financial aid using the FAFSA are encouraged to complete the TASFA (Texas Application for State Financial Aid).
