TaskWhat to Do✅ DoneNotes
5
1. Identify Inactive ContactsGo to Lists & Segments → Create Segment Add filters: – Clicked in last 180 days = FALSE – Opened in last 180 days = FALSE – Apple Privacy Open = FALSE Name the segment: Inactive 180+ Days (Clicks & Verified Opens Only)
Focuses on truly unengaged contacts—not inflated by Apple opens.
6
2. Suppress Inactive Profiles
Go to the segment → Click ••• (three dots) → Suppress
Prevents future sends to these profiles in campaigns or flows.
7
3. Create Engagement TiersBuild 3 segments based on recent activity: – Engaged 30 Days – Engaged 60 Days – Engaged 90 Days Use filters: Clicked or Opened in last X days
These segments help you target and expand based on real-time behavior.
8
4. Send StrategicallyStart sending campaigns to the 30-day segment only
Rebuild inbox trust by focusing on highly engaged recipients first.
9
Expand to 60- and 90-day tiers only if click rates hold and spam complaints stay low
Go slow—too much volume too fast can set off spam filters.
